Publish the commitment
Create a server seed and publish its hash. Let the player choose a client seed after the commitment is available.

Generate and record
Derive each result from the seed pair and a unique round counter. Record the inputs and the rules that map random values to game outcomes.

Rotate, reveal and verify
Retire the server seed before revealing it. Players can then check its hash and replay completed results while new rounds use a new commitment.

03 / The detailsA few things worth knowing.

What can a player verify?

Once a server seed is revealed, a player can check that it matches the hash published before play and reproduce a result from the client seed, round counter and published algorithm. Game odds and payouts are defined separately by the game rules.

When is the server seed revealed?

After it is retired from use. A revealed seed must never generate future rounds. A new seed commitment is published before play continues with the next seed pair.
